Background

Ms. Miller is an attorney who has been practicing for over 25 years. Her areas of practice include education, law enforcement,  divorce, adoption, probate litigation, elder law, guardianship and conservatorship matters. She represents the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and various school districts. Leslie works with her clients in facing life’s changes and challenges. She assist individuals in navigating those situations amicably and efficiently, striving for an equitable resolution.

Leslie has been very involved in the legal community. She is currently the District 2 Governor for the Kansas Bar Association Board of Governors. She served on the Kansas Board of Discipline of Attorneys and was appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court as one of the persons on the State Review Committee for the Kansas Disciplinary Administrator for five years. She was the former President of the Judge Hugh Means American Inn of Court. She was awarded the Topeka Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2001.

She has been active in the community including serving on various boards including Red Cross, the Community Children's Center, tiny-K Early Intervention, and the Douglas County Historical Society. She was a member of the 2007 class of Leadership Lawrence.

Leslie has two daughters in college. When not involved with them, she enjoys time with extended family and friends and her dog Jagger.
