Background

Richard S. Schoenfeld grew up in Oakley, a small rural community in Northwest Kansas, and now resides in St. Marys, Kansas, a small community conveniently located on Highway 24 between Topeka and Manhattan, with his wife Lori.  Prior to joining Stevens & Brand, Rich was a partner with the law firm of SA Legal Advisors, LC.  He is licensed to practice law in Kansas and Missouri.

Rich maintains a general practice in the greater Topeka area, including offices in Topeka and St. Marys, with a focus in the areas of Real Estate Law, Commercial Leasing, Corporate Law, and Entity Formation including general business operations and disputes, as well as Business Succession and Estate Planning, including Wills, Trusts, and Probate matters.

After graduating from Kansas State University, Rich then attended Washburn University where he graduated with Dean’s Honors from the Washburn University School of Law.

Rich’s legal experience is enhanced by a strong entrepreneurial drive and passion for business growth, development, and success.  He has gained a deep personal knowledge for business and real estate by establishing and/or operating personal enterprises relating to commercial real estate and business consulting.  Rich also maintains his Kansas Real Estate license and is well versed in real estate brokerage matters.  Additionally, he has been an adjunct professor for Washburn University School of Applied Sciences where he has taught Property Law and Introduction to Law.

Rich is currently active in his church and community.  He remains active in the Knights of Columbus and has served as a religious education instructor, a past President of Topeka Solutions, and is currently serving as a Director for the Topeka Bar Association.  In addition, Rich is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Pottawatomie County Bar Association, and the Topeka Bar Association.
